Jason C. Tarasek

Jason C. Tarasek is a construction attorney at Hammargren & Meyer, P.A.  Jason resolves construction disputes through negotiation and, when necessary, through litigation.  He has extensive experience helping homeowners recover money to repair construction defects and fix resulting damage.

Jason also routinely assists contractors in obtaining full payment for their work.  Through this aspect of his practice, Jason focuses upon advising his clients on the proper manner in which to preserve their mechanic’s lien rights.  Over the years, he has successfully foreclosed dozens of mechanic’s liens for various clientele including excavators, HVAC subcontractors, concrete suppliers, engineers and architects.  Jason is a frequent lecturer on mechanic’s lien matters.

In recognition of his achievements, Jason has been recognized by the Twin Cities’ legal community on the 2007, 2009, and 2010 Minnesota Rising Stars® lists.

Jason graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with degrees in Political Science and Journalism and received his law degree from the University of California – Hastings.  During law school, Jason externed for a federal judge in the Northern District of California.  Jason is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Wisconsin and California.
